Area Listings - Nagoya Station
Nagoya Station is the main station for people arriving since it is where the bullet train stops. It has recently seen a lot of development with the twin tower JR Nagoya Building right above the station. The Marriot Associa Hotel front desk is conveniently located on the 15th floor. There are some nice restaurants, some department stores and an underground shopping mall around Nagoya station - but if you want to have a night on the town or go shopping, most of the restaurants, clubs, and Nagoya's main shopping district is located in the Sakae - two stations away on the Higashiyama line. For information on Nagoya, there is the Nagoya International Center, above the Kokusai Center Station - Nagoya Station Map E-4. It is one station away on the Sakura-dori line, or a 5 minute walk. Located on the 3rd floor, there is an English speaking staff who will provide info on Nagoya and its surrounding areas. There is also a library with English magazines and books, and internet service.
